Set within the historic walls of a 300-year-old building in Sorø, Hotel Postgaarden offers guests an atmospheric blend of old world charm and modern day comfort. Hotel Postgaarden's central location, close to Sorø's main commercial quarter, allows easy access to the town's shopping and entertainment amenities. Alternatively, Copenhagen is only an hour's drive away. Funded by the writer Ludvig Holberg, the nearby Sorø Academy is Denmark's second-oldest school; its unique garden landscape of passage graves and ruins is of particular interest. The old monastery at Port Sorø is another charming local attraction. Restaurant Postgaarden offers both classic, traditional Danish cooking and a modern, open approach influenced by French cuisine. Cosy and comfortable guest rooms make visitors feel perfectly at home. Private parking and internet access are free for all guests.
