In the antique times even the soldiers of the Roman legions were bathing in the travertine openings. Around 32 swimming-pools have been preserved as protected nature monuments under the title Roman Baths. Natural healing waters, whose springs have an extraordinary composition (free sulphur and carbonic oxide) on the European scale, is used for bath treatments. Hydrogen sulphide effects damaged cartilages and bones, whereas carbon dioxide protects and cures heart and blood circulation. The number of dissolved mineral substances and gases ranks the spa water among the most precious healing mineral waters in general. Dudince mineral water is used for drinking cures as well. Medical procedures: individual curative physical education, collective curative physical education, biolamp, underwater massage (combination of water bath and massage), classical massage, paraffin, reflexive massage, Scotch spritzers, ultrasound treatment, limb galvanic bath – hydrogalvan, diadynamic currents, interferential currents, phyaction (extensive use of various kinds of currents with in-depth effect), magnetotherapy, manual lymph drainage, curative rehabilitation, hydrokinesitherapy – exercise in water, reflexive foot massage, laserotherapy, inhalations, oxygentherapy, service of mineral water in the form of tube and pool baths, whirlpool, gas shots and peat wrappings. The spa house is situated in the center of the spa resort in beautiful surroundings of a spa park. A team of professional doctors, physiotherapists and other medical staff provides complex spa treatment and medical care. The doctors dispose of a well-equipped x-ray workplace and laboratories. 24 hour medical emergency is a certainty. Accommodation is provided in double rooms with balcony, own bathroom and sanitary facility, radio, phone and TV (for extra charge). Single rooms have also a fridge.
